The Colorado Arts Business Council named Boulder-based arts advocate Deborah Malden one of 12 honorees for the organization’s 2023 Commercial Arts Awards.
Malden is an arts liaison and advisor to the Boulder Chamber; she is also a co-founder of Create Boulder. In addition, her job includes leading 3road Law Dance/Theater, SCFD Board of Directors, Create Boulder, Colorado Arts Business Council Colorado Culture Champion, etc.
In September, she was also honored with the Boulder Chamber’s “Women Who Light Up the Community” award in recognition of her contributions to addressing community arts needs.
“A thriving arts and culture sector is good for everyone,” Deborah Muldoon said in a written statement. “They are the backbone of a vibrant, resilient, healthy and inclusive society and are a great investment. Every dollar contributed to the arts generates dollars of economic impact in our local economy.”

Winners will be recognized at the Commercial Arts Awards Luncheon on March 7 in the Seawell Ballroom at the Denver Performing Arts Center.
